How we collect, use, share and protect your personal information, in plain English.
Who we are
EnergyMatch UK is a trading name of EnergyMatch UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 00000000), with its registered office at Unit 0, 1 Nowhere Lane, Chester ZZ99 9ZZ.
We are the controller of the personal information you give us through this website. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number [ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER].

What we collect
When you request quotes, we collect:
- the service you’re interested in, your type of property, whether you own it, and when you’d like to start
- your postcode, and the local area and region it belongs to
- your name, phone number and email address
- any estimate you created with our system size tool, and whether you asked about grants or support
- your consent choices, including the exact consent wording you agreed to and when
We also collect some information automatically: the page you arrived on, the website that referred you, advertising campaign details (such as UTM and ad click identifiers), the date and time of your request, and basic device information. With your permission, we also use analytics and advertising cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
We don’t ask for, and you shouldn’t send us, sensitive information such as health details.

Who we share it with
Installers. When you submit a request, we share your details with up to two selected, independent installers who provide the service you asked about in your area, so they can contact you about a quotation. Installers receive and manage requests through InstallFlow, our secure installer platform. Once they receive your details, each installer is responsible for how they use them, under their own privacy policy.
Service providers. We use trusted providers to run the service, such as website hosting, databases, email and text message delivery, and customer management software. They only process your information on our instructions.
Postcode lookup. We check postcodes using postcodes.io, which receives your postcode only.
Security check. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam and automated abuse of our form. It processes limited technical information about your device and browser for this purpose only.
Analytics and advertising. If you accept those cookies, Google and Meta receive information about how you use our site. We may also share a secure, scrambled (hashed) version of your contact details with them to measure whether our adverts work.
We never sell your details to marketing lists, and we will only share them with others if the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our providers, including Google and Meta, may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and related messages for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete or anonymise them. We keep records of your consent for as long as we need to show how and when you gave it. If you ask us to stop marketing, we keep a note of that so we don’t contact you again.
Your rights
You have the right to access your information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This won’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email hello@myenergymatch.co.uk. If you’d like installers who already have your details to stop contacting you, tell us and we’ll let them know, or contact them directly.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping your information safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, restricted access and trusted providers. No system is completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been misused.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
