Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use our website and introduction service.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use the EnergyMatch UK website and introduction service. EnergyMatch UK is a trading name of EnergyMatch UK Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 00000000), registered office Unit 0, 1 Nowhere Lane, Chester ZZ99 9ZZ. By using the website, you agree to these terms.
What we do
EnergyMatch UK is an introduction service. When you send a request, we look for the best-matched installers we can find for your home and pass your enquiry to up to two independent installers who provide the service you asked about in your area.
We are not an installer. We don’t carry out surveys, give quotations, enter into contracts for installation or carry out installation work. Those are provided by independent installers, and any contract you choose to enter into is between you and the installer.
Free, with no obligation
Our service is free for homeowners. You are under no obligation to accept any quotation or to proceed with any installer.
We are paid by installers for introductions. We never charge homeowners.
Matching and availability
We aim to match every request with the best installers we can find, based on the service you need, your postcode, your type of property and your timing. We can’t guarantee that a suitable installer will be available in every area, that installers will contact you within a particular time, or that you will receive a particular number of quotations. If we can’t find the right installer for your area, we’ll tell you.
Choosing an installer
Before going ahead, check each installer’s accreditations, insurance, guarantees, deposit protection and reviews, and read their quotation and contract carefully. Our guides and quote checklist are there to help. We are not responsible for installers’ quotations, advice, workmanship, products or conduct. Your statutory rights as a consumer against the installer are not affected.
Your information
By submitting a request, you agree that we may share your enquiry with up to two selected installers so they can contact you about your quotation. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Guides, tools and estimates
Our guides, suitability checker and system size tool give general information and estimates based on typical UK figures. They are not advice, surveys or quotations, and actual system sizes, generation, savings, grant eligibility and costs will depend on your home and the installer’s assessment. Government schemes and tax rules can change. We are not affiliated with any government department or scheme.
Using our website
Please give accurate information and use the website lawfully. Don’t submit requests on someone else’s behalf without their permission, or try to interfere with how the website works. The content, design and branding on this website belong to us or our licensors.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the website with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for the acts or omissions of installers. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
Changes and law
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page applies when you use the website. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Contact and complaints
If you have a question or complaint about our service, email hello@myenergymatch.co.uk and we’ll do our best to put things right.
